Zoya Dannii Swatches, My Helmer and mini Sally's purchase

Yesterday I had a very busy day and I wasn't able to post what I had prepared.  My helmer arrived in the morning and I assembled it.  It was very easy to put together.  My girls were home from school and we had a lot of things to do. The dishwasher broke and we had to get a new one after we took the dog to the vet.  It was a late night and my sink is still overflowing with dishes.  We tried to install it at 8 o'clock at night and found out we need a fitting.  Why is it that they do not give the smallest simplest item when you spend so much for something?  On a positive note my husband got me my anniversary and birthday present on Thursday, I decided to finally get an iPad!  I'm trying to find a good photo editing app for my iPad.  I want to see how the picture now compared to using my camera.  I'm going to try to post a few pics here today.  Hope everyone has a good weekend!  Thanks for looking!  I also picked up a few polishes at Sally's Orly Be Brave, Fowl Play and Lollipop.

My Lovely Helmer! :)  I even went through my polishes and made the girls their own container that they can use and I don't care if they ruin, spill or make them clumpy.  What is in the Helmer can be used but only if I am applying it for them.  

 

I lined the drawers with the non skid cabinet liner and used a few boxes for keeping the polishes from falling.

Zoya Jules Swatches and Zoya Jules Stamped with Giraffe Pattern

Zoya Jules in sunlight 2 coats with Out the Door Top Coat.  So pretty!

Cheeky Stamp Plates 2012 CH3

I am loving the butter London Dodgy Barnett and i'm not ready to change.  So, I used Cheeky Stamp Plates 2012 set, Plate CH3, and stamped it with the chinese doll face with the hearts.

London Butter Dodgy Barnett is an amazing holographic silvery gray polish!  I could just stare at it all day!  The application of this was wonderful.  This is 2 coats with Out the Door Top coat.

 

Did you pick up any of the Autumn/Winter 2012 butter London polishes?  Which is your fav?

China Glaze Ride the Waves topped with Revlon Whimsical

Today I thought i'd top off China Glaze Ride the Waves with Revlon Whimsical.  I found it at a local Rite Aid and I passed it up before but I'm so glad I picked it up!  I did one coat of Revlon Whimsical over Ride the Waves.  I'm loving how this looks.  I am excited to try this alone or over a pale blue or white base.  This is also a good dupe for DL Glitter in the Air.  I also picked up the Revlon Popular with the lilac base and silver glitters.

China Glaze Ride the Waves Swatches

I've got the blues today. Kids are going back to school tomorrow.....they are ready but I will miss them. It will be nice to have a bit of a break. What did I use for my blues today? China Glaze Ride the Waves a very pretty blue jelly polish!  In the pics with the sun it seems to show a bit of a VNL but in regular light indoors its barely visible to me.  Below the pics are with 2 coats and Out the Door Top Coat.

Essie No Place Like Chrome Swatches & Review

I wanted to try out my other Essie Mirror Metallics to see if I had the same issues as with the Nothing Else Metals.  I have to say that I love the colors but the application is terrible and the bubbling just stinks!  Every single nail has some form of bubbling.  No matter how I apply it...thick or thin....I just can't win!  So, these are a fail for me.  I read people had success with using these for stamping.  I'm hoping I can make use of them for that instead.  If you had success with these not bubbling what base did you find works and how did you apply them?  Thanks for looking.

Friday Fun China Glaze Magnetix Positively in Love Swatches

I thought i'd do something a little different and mess around with the China Glaze Magnetix today.  It came out so cool!  I did fudge my nails with the magnet a few times during the process but I love the result with these!  You have to purchase the magnet seperate but it creates 3 designs.

Essie Nothing Else Metals Swatches

I really like this color.  Its a metallic lavendar.  My only issue I noticed a few bubbles formed.  I am not sure why either.  I use Nailtiques formula 2 for my base coat.  I haven't tried the other Essie Mirror Metallics yet.  I was able to get them all but Essie Penny Talk.  I still really like this just have to figure out why I got bubbles.  The formula is on the thicker side and I had to be careful to not go over any wet areas to avoid making it streaky.  I need to play more with these.  Any idea?  Did you have any issues with these?  Which is your fav.  I also heard people had great results using these for stamping.  Maybe some stamping is in order to hide the bubbles today!

Essie Bikini So Teeny Swatches and Stamping

I always liked this color and yesterday I found this at a CVS out of town. 

Essie Bikini So Teeny is described as a sparkling cornflower blue but its "sparkle" is barely noticable.    I really love how this looks.  This is 2 coats of Essie Bikini So Teeny.  These pics are taken in sunlight with Out the Door top coat.

I decided to stamp over it with BM 210.  I used WnW white creme for the stamping.  It works fine.

Lacquer Convention Pop Tart Swatches

OMG!  Nail amazingness....is how I describe this!  I love how this looks!!  I put 2 coats of Lacquer Convention Pop Tart of 2 coats of Zoya Snow White to create this amazingness!  Out the Door top coat used with this look.

I also got Lacquer Convention Galinda...which is perfect for me...being pink and all!

Yes, I had to change my nails once this arrived in the mail today! :)  You'll see why below! :)

Stamping Fun with Butterflies flying in the trees

I was playing with my stamps.  I used stamp m73 with Sally Hansen Haute Chocolate to make the "trees" but only used half of the image on the plate for it.  Then I added butterflies with plate CH3 and Zoya Noel.  I used Redi Top Coat over the images and it didn't seem to make it run.  Hope you like it.  It kind of reminds me of all our butterfly bushes we have and the butterflies flying all around them.

Funky Rainbow Zebra Toes

I seen similar looks and I wanted to do this for a while.  So, I thought...what the heck!  So, I made a rainbow design on a slant using a few the China Glaze Summer Neons.  I used Beach Cruise-r, I'm with the Lifeguard, Sun-Kissed, Loves a Beach and Orange You Hot?  Then I used my Cheeky Stamp Plate CH2 for the Zebra design.  I love how it came out!

I feel kinda odd that i'm not matching my fingers and toes but I don't always match.  It just depends on my mood or if i'm dying to wear a new polish.   I might make them match for an appointment I have on Tuesday, we'll see.  Do you always match your fingers and toes? 

OPI Pedal Faster Suzi Swatches

OPI Pedal Faster Suzi is a beautiful light pink with silvery shimmer.  Formula was great and this took 2 coats.  This is from the OPI Holland Collection.  Here it is without flash:

Zoya Dove and Zoya Raven for stamping with Cheeky CH7

I've been wanting to use Zoya Dove and stamp on it with my new Cheeky 2012 plates that came the other day.  It came out really pretty too! 

This is 2 coats of Zoya Dove with Out the Door Topcoat.  The formula on this is nice.  Not too thick or too thin. 

I love Dove stamped but my only issue is that my topcoat made the image run on certain spots.  I used Out the Door topcoat today.  Is there a better topcoat you have found that works better with stamping?  I am just wondering since Out the Door is more runny that some others I have.  I even tried not to go over any spots twice and I waited for the image to dry before applying it.

The Cheeky 2012 plates are really nice.  I have been swatching them in a notebook.  I'm done with the first 10 so far and no image issues.  I do that with all my stamps so I can look at the images and decide what I want to do...instead of going through my plates.  There are alot of nice heart images that i'm excited to stamp with.  Besides pink polishes, I really like hearts!

Nails Inc. Sweets Way

I finally caved and got the 4 Nails Inc. Sprinkles from Sephora.  Today i'm wearing Sweets Way.  This one with white with pastel blue, pink and silver "sprinkles." This is 2 coats with inm Out the Door Topcoat.  I am loving this.  It goes on nicely and there is no fight to get glitters to apply evenly.  This is so fun and happy looking to me! :)
